Rev. Dan Brady has served as pastor of St. Michael Catholic Church since June 2006. He attended Hofstra University earning a double degree in both Chemistry and History. He then served in the Peace Corps for three years in Ghana, West Africa as a teacher. Upon return from Africa, he graduated from the Law School at the University of Virginia. He returned to New York where he practiced law for four years before entering the seminary on Long Island and then attended Theological College in Washington, D.C. He served at St. Edward’s in Bon Air as a seminarian and deacon until he was ordained a priest in May of 1984. He was assigned to Our Lady of Nazareth parish in Roanoke where he served for two years and then was made pastor of the churches in Tazewell and Pocahontas. Soon after, two more parishes (in Richlands and Grundy) were added to his “cluster.” He had expected to retire in those missionary parishes, but was approached by the bishop to serve at St. Michael.
