Rev. Dr. Steven Summers is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The University of Richmond with a dual degree in Political Science and Religion. Dr. Summers also attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and the School of Theology at Virginia Union University where he received his Master of Divinity degree. In the spring of 2013, he completed his Doctorate at Drew University studying global leadership in the 21st century church. An ordained elder in the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church, he has served churches of all sizes across the Commonwealth of Virginia and as a Staff Chaplain in the Roanoke City Jail. His passions include reading about leadership, writing, and spending time with his wife Sallie, two daughters Laura and Sarah, and his granddaughter Reagan (6 months old). He also enjoys kayaking, gardening, and time away at the beaches of North Carolina when possible.
