Become a St. Michael Volunteer!

St. Michael Parish currently has the following volunteer opportunities.

We invite all interested parshioners to review the volunteer details and to contact the appropriate staff person or ministry coordinator for more information or to sign up.

Our Lady of Hope Ministry

Looking for new volunteers with loving hearts. Experience is not necessary, just a willingness to give a little bit of your time.

The ministry is in need of volunteers to assist the priest at Mass, held at our Lady of Hope Health Center Chapel for residents.

• most Thursdays, from approximately 2 PM to 3:30 PM
• second Thursday of the month, 11 AM to about 12:30 PM

The ministry also is in seach of four teams (rotating Sundays) to provide a Prayer/Communion Service for residents on Sundays at 11 AM.

Our Lady of Hope Ministry

 

Haiti Twinning Ministry

The ministry is looking for a Volunteer Grant Researcher to seek out opportunities to acquire funding in support of the ministry.

Funding is needed for such things as:

• school books
• teacher laptops
• lap equipment for the health clinic
• water system PVC piping replacement
• road maintenance

Homebound Ministry

The ministry is looking for a Coordinator to schedule and coordinate visits with ministers and parishioners in need of Communion.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

If you already know how to knit or crochet, this is wonderful. If not, we can help you learn to create shawls to be blessed and distributed to others in their time of need.
