Feast Day of the Nativity of Our Lady
The Feast Day of the Nativity of Our Lady represents a new life and a new presence and brings us innumerable favors. Also, this feast is celebrated as a thanksgiving harvest festival in some parts of India, wherein parishes bless the newly harvested grain and distribute it to parishioners. This grain is added to milk to drink before a festive vegetarian meal—symbolizing the new harvest—is eaten with the family.
