Repeating what I said in my last letter, that time of year is here again! The flu season is underway. First and foremost, if you are sick with the flu, a cold, or stomach virus, stay home, get lots of rest, and drink lots of fluids! The obligation of Sunday Mass is one of
love. Sickness is a valid reason for missing Mass and lifts that obligation.
If you are not sure if you are sick or you are just recovering, be aware. Do not shake hands at the sign of peace or hold hands during the
Our Father. If someone around you is exhibiting this behavior, SMILE, nod, and allow her/him this privacy. Reception of the Eucharist is most germ free in the hands, NOT on the tongue. Refrain from the cup, if there is any question. And remember, the youngest and the oldest are most vulnerable. Get the shots, if you can. Let us be kind and loving to each other.
Secondly, we are still compiling the results of the commitment cards for giving. I will be able to give you the results in a couple weeks, but the response was very good. Thank you!!
