This gospel reflection is based on John 13:31-33a, 34, 35.
His Love Is
Reflected in the beauty of Sweet early morning birdsong Calling out for family to come Bringing all together
Revealed in the glow of daybreak Given again by the creator As another chance to renew To heal and to start again
Heard in the gentle bubble Of a small country stream Calming and cooling all it passes Flowing steadily toward its goal
Seen in the warm afternoon glow Breaking into fragments of gold Passing through the swinging leaves And casting through its starlike beauty
Sensed in the peace of a gentle breeze Quietly cooling the warm of noon Whispering with peaceful ruah A message of peace and love
Felt in the touch of a child’s hand Reaching up for assurance To hold and to find safety In assuring warmth and strength
In receiving a smile of joy In the comfort of a gaze of mercy In hearing a voice of calm In a warm embrace of comfort
His love of us In the bread which has changed And has become Love itself Given after selfless sacrifice To all who reach out to him
Dear Jesus, I thank you For your boundless love Beyond all deserving Given freely to us all Who reach out in peace Who open our hearts To your way, your truth, your life Who bring you to the world And long to be with you Forever
