He comes now, this Jesus Messiah so they now call As crowds gather and group I follow behind lest I fall
So I run forth now to see Though I’m not very tall And strain so to be near Climbing high to see at all
This holy man I can now hear For his voice I have so longed Before blocked by the crowds Yet now so clear and strong
His words are like music Sweet and warm to our ears I climb high for a better view Clearly now through joyful tears
For I have now so repented The things that I’ve done And given all of it back To atone to the One
To all a surprise from this Jesus He sees and calls out my name With joy he will come to my home And with us there remain
He dines now with we such sinners As the priests cry out in dismay Yet we feel his deep love for us As we break bread with him today
Our past sins are forgiven he says As we feast and share his joy He has come forth to save us And our sins to so destroy
Resolving now we all to follow Leaving all our sins behind To stay with him in joyful grace For in him salvation we find
For the short and tall and sinner alike He has come for us all to save And I will follow him forever From this place until my grave
Dear Jesus for you do I seek Longing to see more and to hear The words of joy you so bring An end to all our fear My shortcomings well you know And forgive what I do and say And so I offer my all and my self For you know my heart and my way I give up what has held me down To follow you all my days
