Isn’t the age of Internet, e-mails, Google, and Facebook wonderful?! Recently, I have been made aware that my Facebook Messenger and some email addresses have been “hacked.” Kinda sad! Please ignore any messages that are not replying to you or are not VERY specific so that you know it is me. Actually, I like Google and Facebook, but I
do notexpect them to be very private. It is too bad that people keep trying to take advantage; but we are a sinful people (you knew I would get some “theology” in there, didn’t you!).
Two other reminders:
I will be performing in the one-man play
Damien this Thursday and Friday evenings at 8 PM in the Worship Space. There is no charge, but there will be a basket for a freewill offering, which will be used to help cover the costs of the production. If anything in excess of costs is received, that excess will go to the Haiti Sponsorship Program, which brings me to…
Next weekend is Haiti Sponsorship Weekend. It gives us an opportunity to sponsor individual students at St. John the Baptist School. I can hardly over-stress the impact our support continues to make. Of particular importance is the hot meal that the children receive every day. We know that children die in our village every year, but how can we count the number of lives that are
saved each year because of the lunch program? We cannot give an exact accounting, but I can tell you that you see the health of the children improve after they have been in the school for a year or two. So, sponsor a child (or two!).
